Named for the legendary area of northwestern India where it originated, we were intrigued by the delicate spindles ending in points which characterize this design. After we hand cut the stencil for Kashmir, it was used to hand stencil a border around the walls for a room at the famous Kips Bay Designer Show House. It was later used to hand stencil silk panels for a bedroom. Now it can be hand printed and it coordinates with its sister design Katar which is a medallion that fills in the border.
