KYOTO (Archived)

We loved this feather fan motif so much that we created the Kyoto design for it. Originally, it was a single leaf like image from the late Edo period of 19th century Japan. After we hand cut a stencil of it, we grouped them singly and in pairs to create a gentle free fall of leaves in a two color hand print.
