TICINO (Archived)

Named for the area of southern Switzerland that borders on Lake Como, the textile industry in Ticino dates back to the 12th century. We hand cut a stencil of this robust design of twisting vines and leaves and blossoms before creating a silkscreen to hand print fabric and wallpaper.
